Project Type:
Glamour Magazine Cover
Designer Notes:
My Glamour magazine cover was a project that I did purely for enjoyment. It was ultimately inspired by my wife, with whom I thought looked beautiful in her first pregnancy. She did not always feel this way about herself, so I determined maybe being July's covergirl would help her feel better.
Although done for fun, this project took a considerable amount of time. To begin with, I cropped her pictuer out of a photograph we had taken to document the pregnancy. Next I dreamed up a bunch of titles for the magazines' articles. I then tried to creatively display these titles in a way that looked pleasing to the eye. In the background a gradient was applied that had colors that coincided wiIn those of her outfit. The last thing I did was apply a mask to the skin on her stomach to make sure it looked the same colour as her arms and face which had been more exposure to the sun. In the end, the printed version looked wonderful and brought a smile to her face.
This may be something you'd like to have done for a loved one that needs to realize how beautiful they are to you. Let me know, and I can help you out.
